BALI YOGA RETREAT

Luna Yoga - Bali Header

Kumara Sakti, Ubud, Bali

Dates to be decided

Cost: $ per person twin share, for single occupancy extra $

I’m very excited about this year’s Bali Retreat! The new format will revolve purely around your yoga practice. Having omitted the activities, the price has come down considerably (by $500) so you may want to consider attending the retreat this year and possibly annually.

The retreat is designed to disconnect us from our everyday lives, i.e. our mobiles, the internet, our work, family and friends, and all our regular responsibilities. The days will become long and spacious so our practice has a chance to find its own rhythm, each day building on the last. Sometimes, when we slow down, we can be struck by how jaded we have become as a result of the relentless pressures placed upon us in our regular lives. However, as the practice begins to penetrate our systems an evenness and smoothness develops; a smoothness that connects us to our true nature.

A large space in the middle of the day will be free time to simply relax, reflect and contemplate; space for the practice to be absorbed and digested physically, mentally and emotionally.

Prerequisite

Open to Luna Yoga students who can do Sirsanasa (headstand) and Sarvangasana (shoulder stand) with or without wall support

Cost includes

Tuition, accommodation, meals, two massages and an evening cooking class

Not included

Airfares which are usually around $550 with Jet Star, airport transfers in Bali are around US$40 each way which I can organise once flights have been booked; and one evening meal to allow us to venture into Ubud.

All the rooms are beautiful with spacious balconies. Some rooms are a little bigger than others and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to share hook up now with a yogi friend to secure one of the larger rooms.

Kumara Sakti is located 1.5km from the heart of Ubud in Bali. Bordered to the west by a small creek the eco-friendly retreat is surrounded by jungle and rice fields. The centre offers: 2 swimming pools, dining room, spa and spacious yoga studio open to nature. Each room is air-conditioned, has its own terrace with garden views, mini-bar, bath and shower, comfortable yet unpretentious. Meals are well balanced to nourish both body and soul: vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
