Our introductory course is designed for people who are true beginners to yoga. We don’t expect you to have any particular level of fitness or flexibility. We start at the beginning to give you the best opportunity to understand and get ‘hooked on yoga’. The course is also ideal for easing yourself back into yoga if you have had a break or are new to the Iyengar Yoga method.
The course will introduce you to standing poses, twists and gentle back and forward bends, with a focus on the foundation of each pose and how this generates energy throughout the body. Each class finishes with relaxation.
The five weeks are aimed at giving you a taste of yoga and inspiring you to develop a regular yoga practice. Most students at our yoga studio in Melbourne feel the difference within the first couple of classes, commenting that they feel taller or more buoyant, their mind is clearer, or simply that they sleep well after every class.
Our courses often book out, with our Carlton North yoga studio attracting students from neighbouring Melbourne northern suburbs such as Fairfield, Northcote, Preston, Princes Hill, Fitzroy, Collingwood.
